Perbandingan Kecekapan Berbahasa Jepun dalam kalangan Pekerja Tempatan yang Bekerja di Syarikat Jepun di Malaysia
Abstract
Kajian ini meneliti tahap kecekapan berbahasa Jepun dalam kalangan pekerja tempatan yang berkhidmat di syarikat Jepun di Malaysia, dengan memberi tumpuan kepada empat aspek utama: pertuturan, pendengaran, penulisan dan pembacaan. Peserta kajian seramai 15 orang dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan, iaitu Kumpulan 1 terdiri daripada mereka yang mempunyai pengalaman tinggal di Jepun melebihi setahun, dan Kumpulan 2 terdiri daripada mereka yang tidak atau hanya mempunyai pengalaman tinggal di Jepun kurang dari setahun. Walaupun keputusan Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) bagi kedua-dua kumpulan kelihatan hampir setara, dapatan penilaian kendiri dan analisis tematik menunjukkan kelebihan yang jelas bagi Kumpulan 1, khususnya dalam aspek tugasan kerja rasmi. Analisis kualitatif mengenal pasti lima cabaran utama: kepantasan pertuturan penutur asli, kerumitan penggunaan keigo, kesamaran dan ketidakterus-terangan (aimai), keterbatasan menyampaikan idea dalam pembentangan formal, serta kompleksiti sistem tulisan dan bacaan kanji. Kajian ini merumuskan bahawa pengalaman imersif dalam budaya Jepun memainkan peranan penting dalam membina kecekapan komunikasi yang berkesan di tempat kerja, dan ujian piawaian seperti JLPT sahaja tidak memadai untuk menilai penguasaan sebenar dalam konteks kerja.
