Kemampuan Memiliki Rumah: Satu Analisa dari Sudut Sosio-Ekonomi Isi Rumah

Abstract

Kemampuan memiliki rumah bukan sekadar keupayaan isi rumah membayar kos perumahan. Namun, kemampuan memiliki rumah juga melibatkan keupayaan isi rumah membayar kos perumahan disamping mengekalkan keupayaan untuk memenuhi keperluan asas lain dalam kelangsungan kehidupan. Oleh itu, aspek kemampuan adalah penting dalam pemilikan rumah. Manakala, pemilikan rumah merupakan keputusan terbesar isi rumah pada suatu jangka masa. Kombinasi kemampuan dan pemilikan rumah mendorong kajian tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan pemilikan rumah terutama dari sudut sosioekonomi isi rumah secara inklusif. Faktor sosioekonomi yang dibincangkan merangkumi pendapatan, perbelanjaan isi rumah, jenis pekerjaan, tahap pendidikan, bilangan tanggungan, bayaran bulanan perumahan dan tabungan kewangan. Setiap faktor memainkan peranan tersendiri untuk memastikan tahap kemampuan isi rumah dalam pemilikan. Malah, faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan memiliki rumah adalah berbeza antara isi rumah. Penelitian kepada faktor sosioekonomi adalah perlu kerana isu kemampuan pemilikan rumah memberi impak kepada kualiti kehidupan manusia sejagat.
