Hubungan antara Sikap Bertangguh dengan Hala Tuju Kerjaya dalam kalangan Pelajar Tingkatan Enam
Abstract
Sikap bertangguh dalam kalangan pelajar boleh menjejaskan perancangan masa depan. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan antara sikap bertangguh dengan hala tuju kerjaya dalam kalangan pelajar Tingkatan Enam. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan tahap sikap bertangguh dan tahap hala tuju kerjaya serta meneliti hubungan antara kedua-dua pemboleh ubah tersebut. Seramai 264 orang pelajar Tingkatan Enam di beberapa buah sekolah dari Daerah Hulu Langat, Selangor telah dipilih secara rawak sebagai responden. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuantitatif berbentuk tinjauan dengan instrumen soal selidik yang diadaptasi daripada Tuckman Procrastination Scale (TPS) dan Career Maturity Inventory (CMI). Data kajian dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 27 dengan kaedah statistik deskriptif untuk mendapatkan nilai min dan sisihan piawai dan Ujian Korelasi Pearson untuk meneliti hubungan antara sikap bertangguh dengan hala tuju kerjaya. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa tahap sikap bertangguh dalam kalangan pelajar adalah pada tahap sederhana rendah (min = 2.65) manakala tahap hala tuju kerjaya pula berada pada tahap sederhana tinggi (min = 3.02). Analisis Korelasi Pearson menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara sikap bertangguh dengan hala tuju kerjaya (r = 0.292, p < 0.001). Analisis subkonstruk pula menunjukkan motivasi diri merupakan faktor paling konsisten dan signifikan mempengaruhi kejelasan hala tuju kerjaya. Kajian ini memberikan sumbangan kepada bidang pendidikan dan psikologi dengan menyediakan bukti empirikal tentang kepentingan menangani sikap bertangguh sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hala tuju kerjaya.
