Penilaian Pencapaian Objektif Pendidikan Program (PEO) Graduan Kolej Komuniti Sebagai Tenaga Kerja Berpengetahuan dan Berkemahiran
Abstract
Pelaksanaan pendidikan berasaskan hasil (OBE) mewajibkan setiap program pengajian perlu mempunyai Objektif Pendidikan Program (Programme Educational Objectives) atau PEO. PEO perlu dibuat penambahbaikan secara bersepadu dengan penglibatan pihak-pihak berkepentingan (stakeholders) agar menepati keperluan dan kehendak mereka. Kajian ini bertujuan mengukur pencapaian PEO terhadap graduan Kolej Komuniti Kuala Langat (KKKL) bagi membolehkan sumbangan graduan KKKL kepada masyarakat dan industri dinilai dalam tempoh empat hingga lima tahun selepas menamatkan pengajian. Kajian ini menggunakan rekabentuk tinjauan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui soal selidik. Seramai 386 orang graduan dipilih menggunakan teknik pensampelan rawak mudah daripada tujuh program pengajian yang ditawarkan di KKKL. Instrumen soal selidik merujuk kepada tiga PEO yang telah ditetapkan. Kertas kajian ini membincangkan dapatan bagi pencapaian PEO1 iaitu dalam penghasilan tenaga kerja dan usahawan yang berpengetahuan dan berkemahiran. Dapatan mencatatkan persetujuan yang tinggi daripada responden iaitu sebanyak 76.1%. Kajian ini memberikan implikasi melalui responden yang memberi maklumbalas bagi meningkatkan kualiti program pengajian yang ditawarkan untuk memenuhi pasaran dunia pekerjaan dan teknologi terkini. Kertas ini perlu diberikan perhatian kerana ia merupakan kajian rintis bagi kolej komuniti dalam melihat keberhasilan graduan dalam tempoh yang ditetapkan. Kajian lanjutan boleh dilakukan melalui objektif pendidikan program yang lain bagi melihat kemenjadian graduan secara holistik selari dengan visi dan misi kolej komuniti Malaysia khususnya.
