Abstract

Dalam konteks globalisasi, pelancongan halal bukan sahaja menawarkan potensi ekonomi tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai platform untuk memupuk persefahaman budaya dan toleransi. Walau bagaimanapun, cabaran seperti salah faham dan ketegangan budaya boleh timbul apabila perbezaan budaya dan norma tidak difahami sepenuhnya oleh penyedia perkhidmatan pelancongan. Oleh itu, perbincangan ini memfokuskan kepada kepentingan komunikasi silang budaya dalam pelancongan halal serta interaksinya terhadap pelancong Muslim. Metodologi kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis literatur yang berlandaskan kajian-kajian lepas. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk memahami dengan mendalam perspektif dan penemuan-penemuan lepas yang berkaitan dengan topik kajian, di samping mengenal pasti jurang pengetahuan sedia ada. Analisis literatur ini akan memberi asas teori yang kukuh serta menyokong perbincangan selanjutnya dalam kajian ini. Implikasi kajian ini turut memperlihatkan peranannya dalam memperkasakan industri pelancongan halal melalui sokongan terhadap Matlamat Pembangunan Lestari (SDG), khususnya SDG 8, 12, dan 16. SDG 8 memfokuskan kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi mampan, di mana industri pelancongan halal yang inklusif dan beretika dapat memacu ekonomi melalui penciptaan peluang pekerjaan dan peningkatan kualiti hidup masyarakat setempat. SDG 12 menekankan kepentingan penggunaan dan pengeluaran yang bertanggungjawab, yang dapat dicapai melalui promosi amalan pelancongan yang lestari dan selaras dengan prinsip halal. Sementara itu, SDG 16 yang mengutamakan keharmonian antara budaya menunjukkan bahawa komunikasi silang budaya yang efektif adalah elemen utama dalam mewujudkan hubungan antara pelancong Muslim dan komuniti tempatan, sekaligus menggalakkan rasa hormat dan pemahaman sejagat. Dengan menekankan kepentingan komunikasi silang budaya, kajian ini menyokong usaha memperkasakan industri pelancongan halal untuk mencapai matlamat yang lebih mampan dan berwawasan global.
