Tahap Kecerdasan Emosi dan Prestasi Kerja Guru Matematik Zon Tenggara Sabah
Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap kecerdasan emosi dan prestasi kerja dalam kalangan guru matematik sekolah menengah zon tenggara negeri Sabah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan dan teknik pensampelan bertujuan, kajian ini melibatkan seramai 226 guru dari Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna, dan Kunak. Data diperoleh melalui soal selidik yang mengadaptasi instrumen skala Prestasi Kerja, dan Multifactor Emotional Intelligence Scale (MEIS). Analisis deskriptif dianalisis menggunakan Statistical Program Social Science (SPSS). Hasil kajian mendapati kecerdasan emosi dan prestasi kerja berada pada tahap sederhana. Dapatan analisis deskriptif ini menunjukkan guru mempunyai motivasi yang tinggi serta keupayaan yang baik dalam mengendalikan hubungan dan memahami emosi orang lain. Walaupun aspek intrapersonal memerlukan perhatian lanjut, guru-guru tersebut telah mencapai tahap yang baik dalam kecerdasan emosi interpersonal. Dari aspek prestasi kerja, kajian ini mendapati bahawa pengiktirafan memberi kesan penting terhadap keyakinan dan kepuasan kerja guru. Meskipun guru Matematik di Zon Tenggara Sabah menunjukkan keyakinan tinggi dalam pengetahuan teori, terdapat ketidakpuasan terhadap penilaian hasil kerja oleh pihak pentadbiran.
